My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show started door knocking with his father at just 8-years-old. A second generation real estate professional, Nathan Dart always knew he would work in real estate. He considers RE/MAX Conferences “family reunions” and started selling real estate just days after graduating college.
Though it was a childhood dream come true, he never knew how difficult this industry could truly be. “My first year in real estate I sold 35 houses. I had zero balance in my life; it was just straight hustle, I didn’t take many days off [and] I was working 14 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
Today, working just 28 weeks a year, Nathan is Team Leader of Dart Homes in Maryland, D.C. Metro, and is responsible for just 3 things in his business: Generating leads and building relationships, coaching and training of the Dart Homes Team and listing appointments.
His ability to systemize and pinpoint these priorities has changed his life. “It gives me the confidence and the security of knowing that, ‘if I just do this, I can create what it is I want to create.’”
Overlooking Times Square in New York City, Nathan and I chat about his transformation from buyer’s agent to team leader, his transition from a people-dependent business to a system-dependent one, and the importance of pushing your boundaries and following fear to take you places you never thought imaginable.
Please enjoy this strategic chat with a dear friend of mine, Nathan Dart.
