In this next episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sit down with the President and CEO of the #1 Royal LePage Real Estate Team in Canada, Cailey Heaps.
Despite beating over 18,000 other real estate agents and doing nearly half a billion dollars in sales last year alone, Cailey keeps humble with her achievements and focuses her efforts on creating an excellent customer experience. She tells me, “We’re very proud to be number one in Canada. But what makes us proud of that is the fact that our clients have put us in that position. It’s really, if every client is happy, they’ll promote us.”
Before she was #1 in Canada, Cailey began her storied career in real estate at 23 years old as her mother’s unlicensed administrative assistant, making just $28,000 a year, respectively.
Cailey’s mother, a natural people connector, shaped the way Cailey looks at her business today. “I love what I do.” Cailey proudly says, “But I’m not saving anyone’s life at the end of the day. I really am in this business to help people and I don’t want the focus to be back on me.”
In this episode of The Richard Robbins Show, Cailey and I talk about how properly being in charge of your business means letting go of your control over it. Cailey explains her hiring process that allows her to thrive and trust the people she works with. We also talk about marketing strategies, Customer Service versus Customer Experience and why focusing your efforts on your clients happiness will always pay dividends.
