One of the most common challenges I hear daily in real estate sales is “overwhelm.” Whether it’s sifting through the proliferation of new technologies and lead generating platforms or deciding who to call and what to say, I know how difficult it is to stay focused. Confusion, uncertainty and overwhelm are the norm for many agents.
Build a Business You Love
Imagine if you could come into work every Monday morning and know exactly what you need to do that week to achieve your goals. Would knowing, with absolute clarity, what activities you need to perform each day, week and month to reach your goals help eliminate overwhelm and uncertainty? The answer is resounding YES — but the biggest benefit is the pure enjoyment clarity and focus will bring to you and your business.
So how do you achieve this clarity?
At RRi, one the first things we teach our coaching members is how to take their big, overwhelming, annual income goals and break them down to one single metric that they focus on weekly. That one single metric is face to face appointments.
We refer to appointments as your primary goal, and as such, should be your primary focus. Other goals such as listings taken, listings sold, gross income and buyer ends are secondary because they are all driven by your ability to hit your primary goal. If you aren’t getting face to face, chances are you aren’t going to achieve any goals.
Once our coaching members know how many “qualified” appointments they need to go on each week (with buyers and/or sellers), next, we help them determine the actions and lead generating strategies they need to implement to reach their appointment goal.
This process of making the big, small, is called Goal Setting Simplified and we’ve created a handy Goal Setting Simplified Excel Worksheet to help you do this with a few simple entries.
